Personal Reading Analysis
I have loved reading from a very young age. This was partly due to the fact that both of my parents were English teachers, but also because my mother used to allow us to get out of our chores if we were reading. I hated chores, and quickly realized that my distaste for work could be combated by a love of words. I have always grown close to the characters in novels, and love any book that makes me feel like I've gained a new friend. Whether it is a mystery where I can solve a crime with the help of Sherlock and Watson, or a memoir where I experience Tina Fey's days at theater camp, I love reading anything that allows me to relate to another person, real or fiction.
